New Mobile Site
We have just launched a new mobile version of this site - m.trainspots. This page will use your smart device's GPS to loctate you and guide you to locations that are close to your present location.
Location notes
Little Missenden, near Hyde Heath, is between Great Missenden and Amersham on the Aylesbury to Marylebone line.
Railway type and traffic
Mostly 165 DMUs, with the occasional 168
Environment
It is a footbridge with views on to rural Buckinghamshire farm and woodlands. The sheep here are known to bite, so be careful.
Road directions
From the A413, heading south:
At the very beginning of a dual carriageway section, pull in to the lay-by on the left by Lime Farm. Opposite you should see a small road to Little Missenden. If you see a large brick wall on your left, and the turning for Hyde Heath you have gone too far, but you can carry on along the dual carriageway and turn back at the roundabout. Once you have parked, find the footpath along the side of Lime Farm and follow it until you get the railway.

Photographic notes
Best from midday to afternoon for lighting conditions, line is almost East to West here.
Although the units are not that exciting they run every 30 minutes and at March 2005 there were still some NSE liveried units running.
