New Mobile Site
We have just launched a new mobile version of this site - m.trainspots. This page will use your smart device's GPS to loctate you and guide you to locations that are close to your present location.
Location notes
Selhurst station is in the London Borough of Croydon, it sees services by Southern trains.
Railway type and traffic
Regular services to London Bridge and London Victoria, along with services to Caterham, Sutton, West Croydon and Epsom Downs.
Southern region EMUs including the clsss 460 Gatwick Express trains are seen here.
Environment
This is a station location, which can be fairly busy at times.
Be vigilant in the area. If you feel threatened, it may be best to withdraw.
Road directions
From Croydon, head north on the A212. when you pass West Croydon station, you will be forced to turn left into the A222 (due to a one way system) Take the forth right which brings you onto the A213. Keep on this road until you pass under the station. You won`t be able to miss Selhurst Depot on your right.

You can park in some of the side streets here, or opposite Selhurst Depot if you are lucky enough to find a space.

Selhurst is served by two main bus routes:
75 Croydon-Lewisham
157 Morden-Crystal Palace

Nothing at the station itself, although there is a nearby Sainsburys at the football ground of Crystal Palace!

Photographic notes
Shots can be had in both directions from all platforms, and at different times of the day to suit different lighting conditions.
This would be a good location for filming say, passing Gatwick Express units, as they can be viewed on the curves approaching and leaving the station, with no interruptions in the middle.
